Hi,
I have a half finished project for sale. It is a Hanwei Tinker 9th century viking sword blade with custom made mild steel hilt fittings. There is no grip but both the pommel and guard are peened in place. The pommel peen is a bit dodgy, there might be a crack in it. The blade has some shallow pitting mostly uniformly distributed on the surface. It's hard to show in low res photos, but I can send some close-ups via email if there's any interest.
The space for the grip between the pommel and guard is only 89mm because I wanted to try what it's like to cut with a sword that has a short grip which is typical for the era but I realized that I'm not going to do any cutting and I just generally lost interest in finishing this one. Not sure how much to ask but if I get £100 for it then I'll be chuffed. Otherwise make me an offer. Prefer to sell in the UK. Thanks
