Up for sale is a copy of one of the best arms and armour books out there: Armi Bianche Italiane by Lionello Boccia. This oversized book is filled with color and black and white pictures of 800 Italian weapons--swords, daggers, rapiers, polearms, etc. It's one of the best pictorial references out there. I've had a copy in my library for years and it will be one of the last things I sell if and when I liquidate the library. This is an extra copy I stumbled on that I wanted to pass on to another collector.
The condition of this book is good overall. There is some minor bumping to the cover (visible in a pic below). There was the beginning of wear to the hinges that I stabilized with high-quality, acid-free, non-yellowing hinging tape (visible in a pic below). This is a repair/reinforcement I've done to a number of my own books. The dust jacket has some wear around a few edges and a little bit of color transfer from something on the front cover. The color transfer appears that it would come off with some scrapes of a fingernail, but I didn't mess with it. The whole dust jacket has been wrapped in an archival dust jacket protector (clear cover attached to acid free backing paper) to protect it fully; I use these protectors on all my books because I'm nerdy.
I've sold copies on this forum before for ~$500, but the market has softened a bit. Given current times and the condition of the book, I'm asking $225 or best offer + s/h. Interesting trade offers also accepted.
