I went to Swine some time ago just to see the effigies - they are quite famous though in a tiny village in the back of beyond. Here a few photos which I took at the time, not exactly a profile of the bascinet but close. Hope they help.

Think there are some pics of that effigy in Toby Capwell's book? Not entirely sure if the bascinet is covered though.
Currently working on projects ranging from Elizabethan pageants to a WW1 Tank, Victorian fairgrounds 1066 events and more. Oh and we joust loads!.. We run over 250 events for English Heritage each year plus many others for Historic Royal Palaces, Historic Scotland, the National Trust and more. Thanks for posting those pictures Neil! Effigies and Brasses and the MCS website are great for getting a general view of effigies, but for those of us some distance away from the originals it's frustrating trying to find pictures of details like buckles and straps.
