How do I add an attachment?
You can add up to eight (8) attachments to each of your posts. When making a new post, you'll see an Add an Attachment form below the main posting box. From there, follow these basic steps:
1) Find the field asking for filename and click “browse…”
2) Browse to the file on your local computer that you want to attach and click OK, “open”, or double-click the filename
3) Type in a description for your attachment in the file comment field (optional)
4) Click the “add attachment” button
You’ve just added your first attachment. Simply repeat those steps to add additional attachments.
The board administrator sets an upper limit for filesize, defined file extensions, and other things for attachments on the board. Be aware that it's your responsiblity that your attachments comply with the board's acceptance of use policy, and that they may be deleted without warning.
Please note that the board's owner, Webmaster, administrator, or moderators can not and will not take responsibility for any loss of data.

To add an attachment after the initial posting you'll need to edit your post and follow the description above. The new attachment will be added when you click Submit to add the edited post.

To delete attachments you'll need to edit your post and click on the Delete Attachment next to the attachment you want to delete in the Posted Attachments box. The attachment will be deleted when you click Submit to add the edited post.

To update a file comment you'll need to edit your post, edit the text in the File Comment field and click on the Update Comment button next to the file comment you want to update in the Posted Attachments box. The file comment will be updated when you click Submit to add the edited post.

Why isn't my attachment visible in the post?
Most probably the file or Extension is no longer allowed on the forum, or a moderator or administrator has deleted it for being in conflict with the board's acceptance of use policy.

I've got the necessary permissions, why can't I add attachments?
The board administrator sets an upper limit for filesize, file extensions and other things for attachments on the board. A moderator or administrator may have altered your permissions, or discontinued attachments in the specific forum. You should get an explanation in the error message when trying to add an attachment, if not you might consider contacting the moderator or administrator.

Why does my attached image appear as a link rather than displayed in my post?
Images that are wider than 800 pixels or taller than 800 pixels will be displayed as a link rather than embedded in the post. This allows members with a lower bandwidth connection to enjoy their browsing experience without having to download every overly-large graphic and prevents the image from expanding past the forum's page width.

Are there limits to the types of files I can attach?
Yes. You are limited both in the types of files and the size of the files that can be attached. The settings in each forum may be set differently. You can check these limitations while you're posting by clicking the link that says "Allowed Extensions and Sizes" near the attach box while posting.

How do I resize my images so that I can attach them?
You must use an application on your computer to resize your images to fit within the limits imposed by the forum. There are many freeware programs available for such things. One of the easiest of such applications is Shrink Pic. Those using Windows XP can also use Microsoft PowerToys. There are also several Web-based solutions that allow you to resize your images online such as Pic Resize.
