Hello!
This Ottoman armour (C) is presented like dating from XVe century.
I'm surprised. It seems to me that it dates from XVIe.
Can you inform me?
This type of armour is it older? Is this an error?
Thank you in advance

Hi Laloe,
That type of armour is usually called mail-and-plate. It was also used in Iran, Mamluk Egypt, India and Russia. It also had quite a long lifespan. There quite a few examples of this type of armour around which date from the 15th century. This style of armour continued to be used up until the 17th century and there are Indian examples which date to the early 18th century.
