I guess I'll weigh in on this, even though the field has been pretty well covered. I picked up my Agincourt yesterday at the Albion workshop (met Peter Johnsson while there--a very pleasant surprise and a great honor!), and have fallen in love with it. I have to mention, firstly, that I got my Agincourt rebated, so that I could use it for "live steel" (for lack of a better term---I'm more like simply using it for very light drilling, little speed or intent) work, so the additional thickness of the blade may have some impact on the handling. But, I don't get the impression at all that it's a light-type riding sword as Russ described. It's not the beast that the Black Prince is, for sure, and I feel that it's more of a type XV that has a handle long enough to put two hands on, but I do feel that it could hold its own in conflict. It feels nice when swinging for a cut, but doesn't loose much when going to half-sword for a thrust.

I guess that's all I have to say on this, other than that I really like this sword!

Interesting... different strokes I guess. You would be taking that little guy into battle with armored opponents? Personally I'd want something with a little more clout.

About the black prince. How about quick tip slashes. Does the lively point work well for that against soft targets.
