Just a reminder:
Tourney of Might and Mettle
At Connecticut Renaissance Festival
October 7th
Hebron Fair Campgrounds, Hebron Ct
Come and participate in the first annual sword fighting competition
to be held in Connecticut!
There will be two tournaments held on that day. The first is being
hosted by the Academy of Knightly Arts and it will be an aluminum
longsword tourney. The armour requirements are minimal and it
represents an unarmoured longsword duel. The rules for these fast
and deadly combats can be found here:

Combatants may be able to borrow some equipment if they do not have
it but are encouraged to bring their own.
Swords will be provided.
The International Armoured Combat League will be hosting it's
premier tournament at the CT. Renaissance Festival in Hebron Ct.
Combatants will participate in multiple scenarios that will not only
test their sword fighting skill but also their strength and
endurance. The styles of tourney that may be used can be found here:

All of this fun can be had for only $10. That $10 will not only get
you and a squire into the fair for free, but will also allow you to
enter both the Aluminum and the Steel tournament! Membership fees
for the IACL will be waived for this first tournament.
Camping Accommodations will be available for competitors. Food will
not be included.
So, polish your armour and get the rust off your sword and come on
out to show people your MIGHT AND METTLE!
