Hi Guys.

I assume we're all familiar with they typical three cornered smallsword blade? If not have a look here.

When I was in Germany I noted huge numbers of heaxagonal and diamond cross section blades. I was wondering two things;

1/ What the general feeling towards these blades is? Would you buy one? Would you buy one if it allowed you to fence at full speed safely, (it is much easier to get a diamond blade to flex than a triangular blade)

2/ Why were there so many in Germany? I would go so far as to say they were actually (very slightly0 in the majority of blades I saw and handled while there. Is that just dumb luck or reflective of different tastes?

Alex.
