I am looking for input regarding this piece:

In your opinion, is this a historically based piece? Are there any museum pieces that you know that are similar to this?

I really like the looks of it, however I've never seen anything like it before.

It does look quite similar to various kreigmessers, but it is a bit slimmer than any i've seen....

In my opinion, the blade is too curved for what it is trying to replicate. With a different blade shape, it would fit the hilt better.

Those pictures were exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. In addition to the too-extreme curvature, I'd say that the Armart sabre also seems to lack the sort of cross-sectional variation the historic sabres seem to possess. Perhaps the Armart sabre is supposed to represent an earlier variation of the sabres pictures above? The substantially simpler hilt may be an indicator.

It still looks quite nice, nonetheless...

Anyone else care to chime in?
