Gary,
Hello and welcome to myArmoury.com. I'm sure you'll find people who can help you answer your question. In the meantime, please feel free to poke around and read all the resources we've assembled.

In future posts, please do not use all caps. It's the equivalent of shouting and is seen as rude.

Hi Gary,

What you have sounds like an Imperial German Lionhead saber ( usually cavalry or artillery ). The squirrel is Carl Eickhorn's logo. Here is a useful site, not my favorite era but useful none the less. http://www.ssocr.com/collectorinfo/edged_weapons_makers.htm
