Lately I have been thinking a lot about trying to learn the I:33 sword and bucker fencing method and before getting started I was wondering if steel bucklers are appropriate to use with wooden wasters. I have been thinking of getting a couple of the "round targe" bucklers from A&A and just want to see if people have experience with this product and if these would damage wooden wasters. Eventually I would love to buy an Albion maestro line sword & buckler sword to use for sparring and something like the Sovereign or Sherriff for solo drills but my budget is none too large. Any help would be appreciated.

Steel bucklers will tend to chew up your waster a bit. I made a wooden buckler for waster drills which works okay although it's getting pretty beat up. I have A&A's English Buckler which has served me well for several years now. Yea, many of us are waiting for some good side sword offers. I'm sure the Albion line will be excellent Gary Grzybek
