I've made arrangements with a friend to send me video from the 2006 Las Vegas Antique Arms & Custom Knife Show, which is in progress now, thru Sunday, at the Mandalay Bay !
He is using his cellphone to transmit these images, so the quality is not the best, and the playback a tad small ..... but it's pretty cool none the less :-)

Here's the first one in ....

P.S. I had to download a free version of Quicktime 7 in order to be able to watch these, which I got at this link :

Another is coming in now , Mac

Thanks for the videos!
Just a note for those of you who might be having difficulty viewing these, I was unable to get any of the videos to play in either Firefox or Opera... switching over to IE quickly solved the problem.

Well I certainly didn't see anything in that last post that was worthy of dragging people away from swords. These friends of yours apparently need to review their priorities.

Thanks for the videos, Mac! Gotta love those basket-hilts. And that Vince Evans viking is beyond gorgeous. As for the nightlife, I assume that shows some folks going off a-viking, but I didn't see their weapons and armor...

Thanks Mac!

Here is a short vid for you taken with my camera that I was using for photos (which I am working on) maybe in a few years the video quality on cell phones will be much better than what I was using at the time....You missed a great show + the after show stuff!

Hi Ben

Many thanks for all your effort in bringing us these videos !
It was awesome to have this little connection to the show, and they really helped to "ease my pain" in not being there !
(good thing I didn't buy a ticket & hotel as we were hit with a major blizzard back here in New England)

I look forward to seeing all the pictures you shot, and hearing what you have to say on it !

* I hope you snapped a few detail shots of this WA stamped baskethilt ?
Hard to judge from the vid, but it looks a bit too crude to be the work of the great Walter Allan !
And at only $8,500.00 it does make one question !

Thanks again, Ben ! Cheers, Mac
