Hello All,
I am ramping up for a show in Napa Valley (http://www.collectors-show.com/index.html)
Here is Walnut Burl Fighter
blade 6 7/8 x 1 with 4" sharpened "false edge" (if its sharp can it still be a false edge?)
handle 4 1/2
OA 12"
weight 1/2 pound

Pattern-weld is 1084/15N20 twisted then laddered
Wrought iron fittings (faceted, etched and heat blued)
Mokume (copper/bronze) spacer at blade
Wood is walnut burl

Ric

That is absolutely beautiful, man. I don't know the knife terminology regarding false edges, but I do know that with swords, the edge towards the holder (of a double edged sword), is often called the "false edge" despite being fully as sharp as the "true edge."

Nice pattern-welding! A false edge just means that it's the one pointing at the wielder, not that it's literaly a "fake" edge. So yes, it's still a false edge.
