Hi All,
Well, after 8 months of serving Uncle Sam in the "wilds" of South
Carolina (I'm a National Guardsman), I'm finally getting released
to go back home to my homestead in the Ohio Territory as a free
man. I'm wondering if anyone local would be interested in the
next couple of months in getting together for a sword gathering,
somewhere, somehow. As a start I'd like to propose the Rose
and Thistle Pub in Columbus (assuming it's still there!), but I'm
open for about anything. I'll be home early December, but was
thinking maybe January-ish, after the holiday madness is over?
Anyone?

I'm in for a January get-together. Don't know if I will actually have anything new, sword-wise but it would be nice to share a pint with some of the folks.
Perchance some folks on that Other Forum might be notified as well? I tend to not go over there, but still would like to see some of those guys again.

Good to hear from you. Yeah, I posted over at SFI and am getting some nibbles. With
any luck we can get a sizeable contingent of sword lovers together for blades and
booze, er soft drinks. I'm looking forward to catching up on news with folks and
trading what weapons we have. I should have a couple new pieces to show, and
hopefully the others will too, so don't worry about what you bring. Will let you know
what shakes out, date-wise.

Returning from the wilds and pulling us all together again? The R&T sounds good to me, and with some luck (in January) I'll have some new stuff for show and tell. Right now I only have a GBS, but I've a custom job from A&A that should be on the way soon.

I posted on "that other forum" , but I'll chime in here, since I check this board more often.

Nothing new yet Joe. I'm in the process of packing up wife and pets
for the trek home, but as soon as we can catch a breath I'll be on this like a
bum on baloney. I'm guessing it shouldn't be a problem, as long as John
is still the owner and the pub hasn't burned down.

Hi All,
Okay, I have us pencilled in for the 24th of Jan at the
Rose and Thistle Pub in Columbus, Ohio, starting at
6PM. Can I get a head-count of people that are interested?

If at all possible I will try to make it down.
Nate, expect a long and overdue email from me. Something just passed through Indianapolis in the wee hours of the morning on its way here.
