Does anybody has an article or link with all Petersen types and datings for them? I searched internet and forums but found nothing complete.

I don't know if it is complete, but if you punch in;

"De Norske Vikingsverd by Jan Petersen" ai might be a start.

Well, I don't know about a complete source....there's the original work by the man himself....but if like many of us you can't read it in the original language, there's the partial online translation by Kristin Noer http://vikingsword.com/petersen/index.html .
The Book Swords of the Viking Age gives an overview....and has a nice chart with approximate dates.

Thank you all. I'll have to order the "Swords of the Viking age" sooner or later, but I'm buying a viking sword in a next few weeks and I needed at least something now.

its a great book. i am very happy i finally got around to ordering it. it answered a lot of questions i had in teh back of my mond about different viking swords
