My trusty old lutel has seen better days, and a friend of mine recently had his sword stolen. Thus, we are looking for new and better sparring blunts...
Does anyone have any experience with the ATrim SB1452 single hand practice sword?

How thick are the edges?
The tipp looks kind of narrow? How broad is it?
Steel quality? Does it get notches easily?
"this [fight] looks curious, almost like a game. See, they are looking around them before they fall, to find a dry spot to fall on, or they are falling on their shields. Can you see blood on their cloths and weapons? No. This must be trickery."

Perhaps you should ask this question over at www.swordforum.com -- all I can tell you about this sword is that Gus gave two SB1452's to Guy Windsor, the WMA teacher in Finland and author of The Swordsman's Companion. Windsor kept them, so that should tell you something.

I can't comment about the single-handed Atrim blunts, but a friend of mine owns an Atrim bastard blunt, and it's nice. I own a Lutel, and both of our swords are less than a year old, but the Atrim is so far holding up much better. Barely a mark on it, and as I recall, no notches in the blade yet. Handles really well. Edges are about 2mm, but I haven't measured. I wouldn't want to get hit with the point, but that's because the blade is rather stiff. The point itself is quite sufficiently blunt. The entire weapon is as safe as can be without sacrificing important handling traits.
