Thanks for the congrats. It ships out tomorrow...
Patrik...I don't remember the ladies name who was handling my bidding for me (but she did have one very nice sounding voice ) she said that there where 5 other serious bidders and that I would be on live with her while she did the bidding for me to the auctioneer, I told her my max of what I was willing to go to...I could hear her make 4 bids for me with the auction ending at $1800, it was a very fast auction lasting about 40 seconds...I'm still very surprised that it went for that low of a price...

Had I the spare cash I was thinking about goingthe full retail.
1: to help out charity
2 to get a chance to see it up close
3 I could always resell it and either:
a: make a few bucks
or
b: get my money back
but I'm a starving student, so no $ to play entrepaneur.
congrats though!
The pen is mightier than the sword, especially since it can get past security and be stabbed it into a jugular.
This site would be better if everytime I clicked submit... I got to hear a whip crack!

Congratulations Ben!
Having been away from home for over a week now, I totally missed out on this one.
That's probably a good thing for my bank account.

Thanks Patrick, I was out of town up in Danville Ca. at the Blackhawk Automotive Museum for a BMW Coupe meet so when I got home late and saw Joe's post about 6:06pm EST he wrote, I thought I missed it since they never once called me on my cell which they said they would...I have drooled over the Svante for a loooooong time...now I have just been thinking "is it going to have T.V peoples finger prints etch in the blade while the Svante was in their care?" " "did they hit or bang it against anything while playing Conan?" ah the mind plays goofy things with oneself while waiting for one of the Top Drool Sword (for me anyways!)

Our pleasure, Ben, on both counts! We are so thrilled it went to someone who will truly appreciate it! (Let us know if it needs some refurbishing -- the people at WPT wouldn't stop playing with it...)
Thanks to everyone who bid on thisI It was nice to see our little community in action!
Best,

Hey Ben!
Looks like the heat and humidty made some of the wax bead up on the grip/rainguard (the white flecks) If you hit it lightly with some hot air from a hairdryer and a soft clean cloth, it should shine back up again!
Best,
Howy

I refer to a pic like this as "erotic art".
Congratulations, Ben!
