Hey Thony, are you aware of the replica of this sword made by Danielli Armouries? If I remember correctly it was based in the measures of the original: quite long blade for a one-handed sword, surely not a civilian rapier, but a military sword with complex hilt.
I think I have discussed it with Carlos Cordeiro once, but I can't remember. The original lacks the kind of detail we expect from actual Papal Swords, so I think it was his personal sword given to the church as an offering, as many Catholics used to do in the Middle Ages. Speaking of Carlos, you might want to check his comission of a two handed longsword with complex hilt and a knuckle bow (late 16th or 17th century, I guess)

(EDIT) Danelli made one of the two existing replica's projects. His sword is better made, in my point of view. He released the dimmensions of his replica when I asked:
Blade Length: 99cm
Blade Width: 3.8cm
Hilt Width: 28cm
Weight: circa 1.1kg
