Hey guys,
I was researching bascinets and one thing that I am unable to find a good answer for is then would a side-pivoting visor on a bascinet be appropriate in 14th century Germany/central Europe. Typically, I see the klapvisor central hinge design being most associated with that region up until the end of the 14th century, but do we have any earlier art or artifacts that indicate a side-pivot visor design (like the one pictured)?
Thanks for your help!
