Hi guys after not having internet for a good while i'm finally back online to ask you for some help.
Now that the summer is finally here in the good old UK i have decided i no longer want to be a cutting virgin,so i'm going give it a go with my albion Knight.Could you explain the materials and objects that can be cut without damaging the sword?

maybe someone who is a bit of an expert could write an article for the site?

pool noodles, wet tatami, melons, wet newspaper, wet plywood, etc...

Make sure you have the edge lined up at the angle you are going to hit the target. Try moving the wrist a little too. Don't kill it with a super tight grip, but don't let it fly out of your hand and kill something. It isn't rocket science. Have fun. The blade will get scuffed and the harder the object the more surface scuffage. Have fun. You'll get better the more you cut. Have fun.

Hey Lee,

I often use cardboard boxes. They provide good resistance, can be struck at from any angle, and don't cause any damage to the blade (just watch out for anything metallic like staples). When you test cut with a sword (any sword), the blade will get scruffed. Also, as Ryan said, use your wrist and don't hold your sword with a 'death grip.' Flex your wrist just as you're hitting your target. For maximum cutting power, find your sword's center of percussion. Remember that it's a sword, not a baseball bat. Have fun! -Ted
