Hello,
Maybe someone knows this object? I think it could be the shield of the sword?! I found it with a metal detector.

It's the quillon block of a smallsword or smallsword-like hilt. With any luck, someone with detailed knowledge of the subject will identify the style and time period it was made, but that's a start.

I respectfully disagree. I think it looks overall more like a smallsword hilt, particularly the un-branched, hornlike finger rings.

Somehow I agree that's part of the sword, I am more interested in the period in which it was made, Is it possible that this is WW1/WW2? Like most finds on this terrain..
