i know the basics, just like to look over some web pages, see pictures, learn from others mistakes etc. the sword it's for is a paul binns wheel pommel/straight guard. reenactment blade. type x i believe, 1066 era.

any help?

I don't know how much help I can be, but can you narrow the feild of what you are trying to do? Build a scabbard from scratch? Plain or very historical? The Albion site has a number of lovely scabbards on it, which we can er..... try to reverse engineer on a budget.

My scabbards are mostly just leather sheaths I slapped togeather....

The hard part seems to be the wood working from my perspective. Do you need help there, or are you looking for post woodworking design ideas?
