The average OALs didn't surprise me much, but the longer outliers did just a bit, being in the same range as my Albion Burgundian. Much of their extra length seemed to be in the tang, but not all. Wonder what the distal taper on these were like, whether they would have balanced as well or would have been more tip-heavy - my impression of spathas is that they often didn't have an extreme amount of distal taper, and profile taper was often lesser than their Medieval era cousins. Great in the slash, but after a certain length, less balanced and controlled.
