Hello, I am looking for more information on this sword, scabbard, and armour. Specifically pictures.
All I can get from the picture is that the armour is supposedly by Ernst Schmidt and I believe it is housed in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum (using reverse image search).

I can tell you right off the bat the armour is Victorian, but it may or may not be Schmidt. It does look like it. I do not think it is in the GNM; they have a very composed and restored 'gothic' armour there that was probably close enough to confuse the computers. The sword is much more interesting; the Victorians were a lot better at making those.

Thanks for the reply James. Yea, the sword and scabbard is what I'm more interested in. Never seen existing pieces like this, let alone scabbard decoration like that. So you think this was a victorian composite or reproduction as well (sword and scabbard)?
