Hello, I am looking for examples of decoration on pommels other than disc pommels. Specifically, I'm looking for historical examples of fishtail and scent-stopper pommels with decoration such as gilding, engraving, lacquering etc. Was this ever done? If not do you guys have examples of modern recreations that include these? I have included some attachments in reference to what I am talking about. The time frame does not matter to me much (anything from the 10th-15th) is good.
Thank you

Well, gilt bronze fishtail and scent stopper pommels seem to be... not uncommon, let's say, on high end luxury swords, especially towards the end of your time range. There should be several in the photo albums right here.

Also, does this thread help?
