With enough genealogical contortions you can claim that you are descended from anyone. If you go back far enough, we are all related to each other.

Probably not descendants of Alexander's army but simply one of the tribes from the Alani/Roxolani group. They were described as having blond or brown hair and bright eyes.

This is a great and often neglected point. Slaving was a huge economy practiced by many peoples. And rape was often considered just part of the spoils of war.
