I think the helm is slightly tilted back on the bevor, giving the large gap between bevor/visor. ....McM

Not very good 'Victorian' decorator item. I use 'Victorian' in the sense of modern; I have no idea when it was made. I will say I have seen worse 'fakes' than this one (if they don't claim it's real, it's not really fake, I suppose).
