Dear fellow Arms & Armor enthusiasts,
I wanted to let you know that The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Department of Arms and Armor is now on Instagram. You can find us @metarmsandarmor where we will be posting some of the 13,000 objects in our collection, as well as conservation treatments and various special projects. Our Instagram feed will be the first place to go to find out about changes to our galleries, upcoming publications, and new acquisitions.
In addition to the departmental feed, many of the A&A staff have personal feeds as well to share the things we come across during our work, both at the Met and the other collections we visit.
We are excited to have a platform that allows us to share our hard work, our passion -and of course, our encyclopedic collection- with a wider audience.
Best wishes,
Sean

Sounds neat. Also neat to see the photo setup in your post!

Thank all of you very much for this. It's going to be an invaluable reference tool. Your photo setups look like they will yield amazing hi-def images. ....McM
