Tuna is from Shenzhen while the other, his friend, is from UK. They're both used to freestyle sparring in Shenzhen, so the actual weight and balanced RSW as well as full body targeting, was not a new thing to them. Rex, my beginner grade student, also joined the practice.

Very fast strikes from you Lancelot! Do you think the reach of your No Remorse sword helped? The kendoka seemed to have very good, perhaps even superior body movement and mechanics, but you and Rex had quick and stronger strikes. Very good recoveries and better timing overall by you guys too I think.

Thanks a lot for your kind words. They are both much younger than I and Rex are. LOL More fit, more stamina. That's youth! Big Grin

The reach helped for sure, but my sword was also a lot heavier than the katana they used. My sword was 4 lbs 5 oz while the katana was 2 lbs. Rex's swords were at upper 3lbs (Swiss saber) and lower 3 lbs (han jian) range.
