Hi folks,
The opening of Deutches Klingenmuseum’s new sword exhibition is just a week or so away…
As you probably know, on the 26th there is going to be a ”Trade show for replicas and modern one of a kind swords”, which is something I have never participated in before. I must confess that I am a bit exited about the show…

I will be taking part in the trade show and will have all the available pieces with me.
The swords available are two Sosun Pattahs’, X-type with inscribed blade, Hungarian sabre, katzbalger and a bastard sword.
All the swords have scabbards, except the sabre, katxbalgers’ scabbard includes three by-knives.
The prices of the swords are going to be slightly different from those mentioned in the web-pages.

Unfortunately I have not had a chance to make a new piece for the occasion. Lately I have been making custom orders - mostly hunting knives, etc., sadly no swords on the to-do-list in the immediate future…

Below pictures of the swords in question, more info of the pieces can be found from the website:

See you in Solingen on the 26th!

Amazing and beautiful works! The Katzbalger is still my favorite, but the bastard sword and the pattahs are incredible! I wish I could see them all in person. It's a great opportunity to show your work, and whoever buys these will be lucky. Congratulations and thank you for showing these, they are exceptional.

The inscription JTMEFECIT means 'JT made me'.

Thanks Kem! Let’s see how the show goes! This is the first ever ”Schwertmachermesse” so it is pretty much a question mark in all accounts - but expectations are high! …And of what I have gathered, the exhibition itself should be quite a stunner!

Patrick: I have scaled the size of these sosun pattahs up to fit an european-sized hand. The hilts of the originals are so tiny that you can barely squeeze four fingers in! Unfortunately the bigger size comes with a price - these ones are slightly heavier than the originals… But the damascus hilted sosun pattah can actually accommodate quite a huge paw!

Shahril: Thats right, the inscription is maybe slightly egoistic - but it’s true!

Cheers, JT
