Its a long period but I can say that Richard II sent 800 English archers over in the 1380's so they would have been longbow equipped. We've been allies with Portugal for a long time and English soldiers were often present so there may be some influence there.
Currently working on projects ranging from Elizabethan pageants to a WW1 Tank, Victorian fairgrounds 1066 events and more. Oh and we joust loads!.. We run over 250 events for English Heritage each year plus many others for Historic Royal Palaces, Historic Scotland, the National Trust and more.
