I am considering getting a crossbow as my next acquisition. So far I have found them at Tod's Stuff and New World Arbalest. I would like to know if there are any other makers out there so that I can review my options. Historical crossbows, or items inspired by historical crossbows only. Not the newer sportsman style crossbows.
If this topic has already been covered elsewhere I would appreciate I link to the earlier forum discussion. My apologies if it already has, I did search in the search engine and a search through the first few pages did not yield a result, though I am ignorant to anything that is older.
Thank You!

I can't tell you much about these but there is:
replica crossbow world http://replicacrossbowworld.com/
swifthound bows http://www.swifthoundbows.com/index.html#top
The lady from swifthound seems to have learned from the guy at New World. Many of their options are the same or similar.
I don't know anything about Replica Crossbow World but would love to hear from someone who has one of their bows.
Other options are Deepeeka, Crossbows by Siegfried, and Manning Imperial.

For very high quality crossbows, there's also Enrico Lazzari (https://www.facebook.com/enrico.lazzari.73) and Jens Sensfelder, whose bows you might be able to purchase through Tony Schöndorfer.
If you're serious and wanting a very period-accurate crossbow, Michael Dahlström has some scaled drawings that can be used as plans. I'm not sure how 'public' they are.
Francois L'Archeveque was selling an old bow of his a few months back; do a search at The Armour Archive and you'll find it.
Again, these are all high-level (and commensurate cost) options.
