Looking for photos of a type XVIII longsword in the Schweizerisches Landesmuseum Zurich, Switzerland. One of the best looking hilt-pommel combinations ever made i reckon. Does anyone know if it is in their exibition?

Well, I am not sure whether this sword is still exhibited at that museum or not.

When I was there 4 years ago, it wasn't on display.

The Landesmuseum in Zürich has an incredible collection of arms and armour. A few years back much of this collection was taken down and put into storage (Quite a few pieces still remain, but it is only a small part of what is really there). This sword is one of those that are no longer on display, as I learned to my dismay during my visit a few years back.
This policy is very sad for the regular visitor with an interest in arms and armour who makes the journey to the museum, but possibly a boon for someone who plans a focused study trip with some hands on time with pen and paper...
It might prove rewarding to contact the museum and ask for the possibility of access.
