Really great looking piece of work! Which warrior wouldn't want this :cool:
Walrus ivory is probably my favourite as sword hilt. [the colour goes so well with golden inlaid and black]

With Norse settlers in Greenland we are into viking age times, but trade with Sami/Bjarmi people in the arctic occurred earlier.
So does anyone know when and where is the first historical sword with walrus ivory hilt from??
