Since there are 2 pairs of lacrosse gloves that have to be retired, I did some tests before throwing them away. I test cut and test sliced them with katana, lightweight hand and a half sword and my custom sword Tengu on the entry level lacrosse gloves that lacks hard plastic plates support. I found out that these gloves can protect against slicing very well, with the weaving pattern outer fabric doing better than the synthetic leather part. They do not protect against cutting much though. The edge if polished too smooth would also decrease its micro-serration in the slicing motion.
