Please somebody help me to understand the difference between these terms: Side sword, Riding sword, Cut and thrust sword, Reitschwert, and Spada da lato

Adam,
check out the "features" section of this site for more info. on your question. I'm in a hurry right now,but forms of a "true" rapier they are not. If I had more time, I'd help explain all these terms,but gotta run out for a bit. Will check back in ,when I return.
