Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direct of literature pertaining to excavated Almoravid or other 11th-15th century Berber swords. Artwork would be interesting as well.
I've been unable to find anything to date, besides the distinctive and rather decorative 'jineta' form of course.
While there's a decent bit of info out there on Byzantine and Arab swords of the period, there seems to be very little from the Berber side.
All the best,
Iain

Literature concerning Almoravid swords?
Hmmm......That's quite difficult to find these days even on the Web, Iain.
I also couldn't find one, though.

Thanks guys and my apologies for not replying sooner. Sadly there does seem to be little info out there. Particularly online. I'm familiar with a few bits and pieces but most seem to be later period Nasrid.
Cheers,
Iain
