Hello All,
I have lately dabbled in a bit of Viking era weaponry...and here is the latest project. The grip is hand carved out of birds-eye maple and taken to a buffed finish. The design is of two hounds (I will include a picture) intertwined and actually enhances the traction of the grip. The scabbard is tooled with a brass spine. Here are the specs:
Overall length: 22 in
Blade: 17.5 in
Grip: 4.75 in
Blade width at cross: 1.4375 in at the widest point 1.5 in
Overall weight: 570 grams
The blade is .25 in at the spine and is very stout the full length. It is hardened to a 50-52 Rockwell.
The price of this piece including the scabbard is 850.00 USD (shipping not included)
