Has anyone set eyes on the longsword in the collection of the Library at the Stevens Institute of Technology? It looks like a cool specimen, I'd love to see better photos.

The library needs some additional research. I suspect the one on the right to be early 16th and of Germanic origins, though the blade is narrower than I'd expect - I wonder how much corrosion loss there has been. The one on the left gives me a late 16th Italian/Venetian feel.
Hopefully an actual expert takes a look and can provide better assessments.

OP, thanks for posting! Very interesting. I'd never heard of this school before now.
Victor, I agree on your assessment of the smaller piece as 16th- century Italian. Here's a similar one with a date estimate by E.B. Erickson, who knows complex hilts better than most:
