I'm looking for a set of buckles to built an hanger for my late XVIth century kit, the result that i wish to obtain is an hanger plausible for a western european soldier in the timeframe 1570s - 1590s
at the moment i have been able to find two options:
a set offered by darwood armoury that is fairly inexpensive and a set offered by Tod's Stuff that is surely superior in terms of worksmanshio and finish, but priced accordingly.
my kit portray a common soldier, so i don't need it nothing of fancy, the darkwood armoury set could be a good option but i would prefere an european vendor, to save the expense connected with the custom fees,
do you have recommendations?
thanks

Hello,
Years ago I obtained a full-on rapier belt set from Tod's Stuff. It was great then and still is now. Tod made it using plain tan leather so it is fancy, yet not overly so. I would go with him always.

I think Historic Enterprises also do a buckle set for one of those.
