I bought an Albion XVI blade a while back and it was the best project blade I have ever bought, well worth the money. It had a really nice heat-treat, was almost perfectly straight, very regular and just all-around really nice. The Albion XVIII hand-and-a-half is 2" shorter and much more tapered than the XVI, so unless it is made from thicker stock than the XVI it must be quite light for a hand-and-a-half. If it is thicker than .25" that would increase my interest. As it is, I think my next blade will be another XVI.
