A friend showed me a Nordwelt Versand catologue and askd my opinion on their 'Gilling Viking sword'
The blade in the pictures seems to be genuinely pattern welded although it's difficult to make much of an analysis from the picture.
So I thought I'd ask you guys as this sort of thing is more your territory than mine.

- A very simplified explanation.
Vikings raided, invaded, traded, allied with and against each other as well as with and against Saxons, intermarried with Saxon, turned christian and became part of the english heritage would probably be a better one.
Regardless, that sword is amazing for that price. I wish I could buy their bare blade for projects.
