I am trying to find a video posted some time ago of a man running in full harness. I know it is lazy to ask but I am failing completely, (mainly due to my ineptness at searching).
I am hoping someone may recall the film I am talking about. The video was a short clip, in a longer film of a man running towards the camera, in a beautiful, perfectly fitting harness - not the one of the chap on a treadmill in poorly fitting armour. I would be most grateful if someone could point me in the direction of the film. It would help me prove a point to some of my colleagues about how effective armour can be worn and still be able to be moved in.

Many thanks,

John

I believe you're referring to the clip of Toby Capwell running in his harness. I don't have a link to just that video, but here it is as part of a lecture entitled "How to Mount a Horse in Armor, and other Chivalric Problems" from the Met in NY.

The specific clip of Dr Capwell running in his armor takes place at 35:20

Oh, and the rest of the video is absolutely worth a watch too Happy

I don't have that video, but i have something similar. If i could find my camera I'd send you the video of me in full harness running the enemies flag back to my teams side in an Adrian banner war. (essentially a 16th century russian curaisser armor and the length of a football field)

You may want to show them the battle of nations web series on youtube

Ian, Tom,

Many thanks. Sorry for the delay in replying, My job currently takes me away a lot, with no access to the internet.

The Lecture is the video I was after, but the BOTN stuff is also good.

Thanks again.

I know, right? I've watched it at least twice since it first came out. I wonder if one can download it (with permission)...
