I have had the opportunity to add two early kettle helms to my product line. The first has a flared brim and wider central band, and is modelled after depictions in the Maciejowski Bible. The second has a wide brim, and is a commonly replicated design that a customer requested. Both are made of 16 gauge steel, are leather-lined, and sport period-specific cast buckles on the chinstrap.
More information is available on their Etsy listings.
Questions and comments welcome.
