The Hong Kong Museum of History is holding a special exhibition, entitled "The Majesty of All Under Heaven: The Eternal Realm of China's First Emperor". On display are many artifacts, all dating from the Qin Dynasty, including some of the world famous statues from the Terracota Army. I toured the exhibition recently, and took photos of the arms and armour on display, which I thought I would share for the benefit of those interested in oriental arms and armour.

If anyone is interested, I have a few other photos that I have not posted here, such as bronze arrowheads, Chinese "mace" heads, and the ceremonial stone helmet that goes with the armour, among other things.

im also curious if there are any items identified as belonging to the 'meteor hammer', which was a fist sized metal ball on a long rope said to have been invented around the same time.

I didn't see anything like that William. As far as I know, they did not have any on display.

I gather from your quotation marks that you also suspect the mace heads might have been mis-identified?

Either that, or my memory of what was written on the plaque is inaccurate. ;-)
