I have for sale 4 pairs of the finger bucklers we used to make. The finger bucklers are made from 16 gauge steel with rolled and counter sunk edges for strength. Lined with leather and stuffed with batting to pad the back of the hand. They are adjustable with hand made buckles with light file and chisel work decoration. They measure 5.5 inches across. Like to get $21 ( a good bit less than we used to sell them for ) a pair plus shipping.

Could some kind person share with me how finger bucklers are supposed to be used? I have never seen any mention of them before now and I have no idea what they are.

They are just small hand shields held in place with a strap so you can also grip a weapon. I use mine for sparring, to supplement the protection of the motorcycle gloves I wear. I don't know if they are historical, but they work pretty well.
