All,

I am a long time reader but first time poster. I have long admired Bractea work (http://www.bractea.freha.pl/), and I remember seeing some excellent photos of armor that they crafted. I remember being especially impressed by a coat of plates and a coated segmented globose breastplate originally at : http://www.myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t...mp;start=0 . Now, however, I can't find any photos of Bractea armor on the net.

Does anyone have any pictures or experiences with Bractea armor? I would be very interested to see it again.

I have never seen Bractea before. I followed your link to their web site and was very impressed with their work. It seems as though the site has not been updated since 2009. I would be very interested to know if anyone has ordered anything from them in the recent past and if the quality is as good as it appears.

All,

Received an email from Mr. Karcz at Bractea:

"Yes, We have not the armor already in our offer, because I withdraw from their production. However, we can do for you armor, similar to those in the Annex.
Weight 4-6 kg of spring steel (0.8 mm) tempered on the special
matrices , to 42 HRC hardness.
The reconstruction of the armor, the common interpretation of the my and client. To make a faithful replica ,will be needed good historical sources and full-day trying.

Deadline and price to be negotiated, depending on the model."

Good to know they're still doing armor.
