So I had a handle left over from the last version of this axe (a client just wanted the head).....
This is a slightly different "dark angel", more upsweep less beard.
The axe if Made by the punch and drift method and is punched out of a solid billet of EN9 (1050) steel. The blade is triple normalised and differentially hardened in oil, it is them tempered twice.
the axe weighs 3lb 3oz including the handle.the centre of balance is within the beard .
The blade is 10 1/4 inches long and 81/2 front to back .
the handle is 35 inches long and made from flame blackened ash.
standard shot to show relative size.
and just to prove I can smile (aah I love my axe)
this axe is for sale.

You have good reason to both smile and love that axe, it looks great.
The narrow beard makes it look fantastically vicious, like some sort of talon.

Wow, that axe is both vicious and elegant at the same time!
And if the axe didn't get the point across, that hat certainly says "I'm up for a bit of the ol' "ultra-violence."
Also noticing your smithy apron... In addition to carbon scorching, I believe I can detect blood, sweat AND tears.
