Wow... People have hundreds of swords?
I must admit I'm a bit jealous of some of these lists...
OK... I had real issues categorising some of these. Here goes... Right now, I have:
Swords (2 edged) - 7. 2 are Western, the rest Chinese. One more currently on order.
Sabers (Single edged) - 16. 9 are Chinese of every concievable size and shape, 2 Japanese (one is a good Dotanuki), 5 are various Western nationalities, but all pre-1900 styles. One more currently on commission from Patrick Barta (the wait is killing me), and one Chinese replica in talks with a smith in Taiwan. Maybe add 2 more depending on how you categorise Falcata.
Pole Arms - 11. All but 2 are spears, and all but 2 of those are Chinese. One Naginata, one Yan Yue Dao. In negotiation for another spearhead at present. I will have it soon. :-) Looking for a good Western Halberd, hope to find one soon.
Maces - 3 pairs, 3 single. All Chinese, except one Indian Gada.
Axes - 1 pair.
Daggers and knives - 31. Including 4 Kerambit, 1 Kris, 1 Kuku Macan, 5 Kukri, 2 pair Deer Horns, 2 Katar (Wasn't sure if they fit the category, hence the individual mentions).
Sickles - 1 Celurit, 1 Custom, 1 pair Kama, 1 Kusarigama, 2 Kyoketsu Shoge (are they Sickles?).
Shields - 2. A family Targe, and a brand spanking new Teng Pai (not the best quality, but good for practice - should've gone with my first, more expensive choice).
Armour - 2 Kendo Bogu, 1 3-weapon mask, 1 Brigandine ,various bits and pieces like 1 pair bracers, 1 pair greaves, 2 pair thick leather gloves... 1 pair custom "Cestus" (never used, too scared), which probably fit best here.
Bows - 3. 1 for Hunting, 1 for Kyudo and 1 replica 12th Century Mongolian (unstrung).
And that's it, I think.
