I am looking to do a leather grip for my latest project and need a good source for lightweight vegetable tanned leather. Anyone have any recommendations?

They have pigskin lining leather that is 1.5 to 2 ounce leather that works great. You can get it Natural or with a finish on it.

Their website says that they have a store in Billings.
